My 16" AR308 was spraying gas out like crazy with the brake that I had on it. Not to mention the concussion blasting out the sides was not making my fellow shooters very happy. I wanted something that could send all of that gas and concussion down range, and the Athena did the trick. It doesn't do much for recoil, but I have noticed that it does a good job at keeping muzzle rise in check. Highly recommended for a more comfortable rifle shooting experience.

My Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39 used to be overly loud and concusive to stand next to when it went off. However, this was tamed by the .308/7.62 Athena linear compensator. The muzzle blast has been significantly reduced, I think it's safe to say that this product effectively does what it is supposed to do.

I went to the 2024 NRA convention and found these guys at a booth and was curious about their products mainly muzzle devices in 7.62 and by some luck they had this for my Galil Ace in the threading I was looking for, once installed I took a bit to go to the range with it since I only had 90 rounds for my galil but when I finally took it out I can gladly say I'm impressed with this muzzle. I had not flash In front of my barrel and it did help a little with the recoil but I'm mostly impressed with how no one around was hit with concussion from this brake, I highly recommend this brake for indoor ranges possibly cqb environments since you won't give out a fireball and the concussion isn't affecting anyone around you

Got this to tone down the gas blowback of my 10.5" 556. a lot smaller than expected, and works far better than expected. went from hating shooting a full mag in 3-4 shot bursts due to the gas in my nose and even the haze in the scope. Went out and shot 60 rounds continuous after installing the Athena, and didn't have to stop for fresh air once haha. Will be getting another for my 300 BLK build next.
